Great Plains Area 4 Special Olympics

Welcome to the official site of the Great Plains Area 4 Special Olympics!

The Great Plains Area 4 Special Olympics originated in the early 1980's. Since the beginning of the program in this area, numerous volunteers and supporters emerged to maintain the excellence this area has become known for producing. However, there are still many volunteer opportunities available to anyone interested in becoming involved with our organization and we would love to meet you!

Every year Perry Broadcasting's General Manager, Joy Chapman, arranges a live "on the air" radio broadcast by K98 JAMZ at the Special Olympics games at the Lawton High School track. The special athletes, their families, teachers, coaches, and volunteers enjoy the music and take part in "on the air" interviews. K98 JAMZ has done this for the past 3 years, and has become the official radio station of the Great Plains Area 4 Special Olympics.
